ADDRESS
![[Local Convention]](/icons/dtdguid2.gif)
This element is for address information, signatures, authorship, etc,
often at the top or bottom of a document. It is also used, especially when marking
up an existing text, to indicate the authorship or "byline" of the work
(not just the creator of the web page).
If you want line breaks to appear within an ADDRESS element, you must
use BR tags.
Note that despite common authorial expectation, ADDRESS may not
occur inside a Paragraph, though it may occur inside a
BLOCKQUOTE or FORM.
Example
<ADDRESS>
John Doe, jdoe@foo.org.com.
</ADDRESS>
