OL

[Local Convention]
As UL, but the paragraphs are typically numbered in some way to indicate the order as significant.

It is not possible to specify the numbering style and while you may nest an OL inside another, the numbering will typically simply begin again (i.e., you should not expect sophisticated outline style numbering changes). Future versions of HTML will probably support more flexibility in numbering list items

Example

Things to do today

Wake up

Get out of bed

Drag a comb across my head

which is rendered

Things to do today

 1. Wake up
 2. Get out of bed
 3. Drag a comb across my head
