To the end of magnetic tape use the German professional recording
studios used B-wind almost exclusively.

German radio was B-wind from start to end.

It makes for easier editing of tapes and to get the least pre-echo tapes
are stored heads out which is very handy for a broadcast organization
where the engineer needs to play several tapes and with B-wind there is
no need to rewind before playing.
