The Guild of Book Workers would like to annonce the prepublication offering
of the catalog to its current exhibit, P A P E R which will feature
one-of-a-kind bindings of the Peter and Donna Thomases sample book of
handmade papers from the United States. This exhibit will open at Scripps
College in Claremont, CA this September, and then continue on to the
University of Rochester, NY, Columbia College in Chicago, IL and close at
Ohio University in Athens, OH. The exhibit will also be on display via the
Internet and can be accessed through the Guild of Book Workers' homepage.

The books are currently arriving and look wonderful and catalog production
will begin shortly. The catalog will be fully illustrated and be issued in a
postcard format with accompanying descriptive text all housed in a simple
portfolio. We anticipate approximately 30 bindings in the exhibit, all in
brilliant color. The catalog will be produced and designed by Peter Thomas
and Peter Verheyen.
We are pleased to offer the catalog at the pre-publication price of $18.00 +
s/h. This price will remain in effect until September 1, the opening date of
the exhibit at Scripps College. After that date the price will go to $20.
Dealers and orders of 5 or more will continue to be able to order at the
reduced price. As an added bonus orders received before September 1 will
receive a free copy of 80 Years Later, the Guild's 1986-87 travelling
exhibit. Institutions may request open account billing.
Orders will be processed by the Bookbinder's Warehouse and you will not be
billed until the catalog has been shipped. The charge will orginate from the
Bookbinder's Warehouse. The form is located at
