Re: Digital fonts with quaint characters?

There is also a very nice font which was designed for Apple for the Mac's
System 7.5 called Hoefler Text, plus a complementary set of dingbats called
Hoefler Text Ornaments. While not a copy of an old font, it certainly has
been based on older, serifed fonts and includes a number of ligatures. It
has become my font of choice.

I recall the designer being written up in Wired sometime last year, in an
article specifically about font design. If anyone is interested I could
track down the exact issue, or it's bound to be available at HotWired.
