Come to San Francisco for Labor Day

The Miniature Book Society will be holding their annual conclave in San
Francisco over the Labor Day weekend. The 3 1/2 day event will include
demonstrations, talks, book exhibition, auction, book sale and annual
meeting. At the workshop on Saturday participants will move from station to
station to try 10 different non-traditional printing techniques and end up a
finished book of their samples. At the book fair on Sunday you can count on
finding interesting and imaginative miniature books at reasonable prices.
Everyone who registers for the conclave receives a package of keepsakes
prepared by many of the miniature book publishers. The festivities take
place at the Fairmont Hotel, atop Nob Hill, close to Union Square, Chinatown,
Golden Gate Park, North Beach, Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco Bay, and best
of all, the San Francisco Center for the Book. For more information contact
Maryline Poole Adams, MBS Conclave XIV, 1170 Keeler Avenue, Berkeley, CA
