Re: req: Lynd Ward

Here's a citation I found in BHA Bibliography of the History of Art:

            AUTHOR: Berona, David A.
TITLE: Picture stories : Eric Drooker and the tradition of woodcut
                IN: Inks (Columbus, OH) 1995, v. 2, no. 1, Feb, p. 2-11, ISSN
SUMMARY: Begins with a survey of woodcut novels, by artists such as
Frans Masereel, Otto Nuckel and Lynd Ward, and shows how
American printmaker Drooker continues in the same vein of
social and political commentary, illustrated in stark black
and white images. Drooker uses a scratchboard technique to
achieve the look of the woodcut.
