Position: Curator
Institution: Yale University
Location: Connecticut

Library: Curator, Arts of the Book Collection, Sterling
Memorial Library, Yale University. Librarian III, 20 hours per
week. Manage all operations and services including collection
development, acquisitions, technical processing, preservation,
reference and instructional services. Qualifications: Master's
degree in graphic design, fine arts or the history of art, or
MLS degree from an ALA-accredited library school. Five years of
professional experi-ence. Demonstrated familiarity with the book
arts, the history of printing, bookbinding and book
illustration. Experience or formal training in graphic arts
and/or other kinds of library special collections materials.
Demonstrated commitment to and experience in library instruction
or public services, and in working with faculty and students.
Experience in the design and curating of book exhibitions.
Successful experience with collections development and related
budget management. Demonstrated analytical, collaborative, and
communication skills. Preferred: MLS plus Master's degree in the
field of graphic design, fine arts, or the history of art.
