Can't help you with a book press but I can recommend a new version of the
planex dfa machine, called a TeMPeR fangluing press designed and made by
Peter Jermann and sold through Gaylord Brothers.  Made of maple hardwood,
it is also a lovely looking machine.  gaylord's number  1800 4486160

cost is about 450.00
