Umbrella update on Workshops & Courses for Artists making Books:
Summer Classes at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts include 2 book arts
classes from 28 June - 10 July with Michael Alpert and Jan Owen teaching
"Book Arts: Words, Images, Color & Structure: creating hand-made books."
>From 26 July - 14 August, Nance O'Banion & Chris Rolik will teach "Artists

Book Arts Jamboree. 7 - 12 June for five days of making books, learning new
skills, constructing pop-ups, building decorative boxes and enjoying the
splendors of the Catskill Mountains. Mornings will be intense instruction
and afternoons will be devoted to fun mini-workshops, recreation and studio
time. Optional evening programs including a show & tell under the stars, a
gocco printing party and bookmaking video pajama fest. Field trip on
Wednesday afternoon. Instructors: Robert Sabuda (paper engineering), Miriam
Schaer (one-of-a-kind), Ed Hutchins (editioned books and tunnel books), and
Carolyn Chadwick (conservation binder, who will be teaching decorative
