<bigger>Thanks to all who sent calendar information for the Rocky
Mountain Chapter of the Guild of Book Workers Newsletter. For those who
are interested, here's what's going on in our area:
Now - May 3: Denver, CO: "Explorations and Transformations: Fine Bindings
and Artist's Books by Laura Wait" at the Doyle and Margaret Hartman
Exhibit Gallery, Dayton Memorial Library, Regis University, 50th and
Lowell. Opening reception: February 20, 4-7PM.
Now - June 11: Boulder, CO: "Judging a Book by Its Cover," an exhibit of
selected Publisher's Bindings from the Norlin Library's Special
Collections. Norlin Library Room N2345, University Libraries, University
of Colorado at Boulder.
April 10-11: Salt Lake City, UT: Paper and Fabric Marbling Workshop with
Galen Berry. Beginning Class, Friday, April 10, noon-5PM. Intermediate
Class, Saturday, April 11, noon-5PM. University of Utah, Rm 361, Art &
Art History Department. $65/day or $100/2 days. Class size is limited.

April 23-25: Salt Lake City, UT: Diane von Arx Anderson will teach a
workshop on decorated capital letter systems and historical layering
techniques with gouache, ink, and gold illumination. Cost: $95. Ms.

June 9-16, 16-23: Albuquerque, NM: "Literally Letters," a week long
workshop in calligraphy taught by various practitioners at Ghost Ranch.

July 5-10: Taos, NM: "Book Arts and Applied Creativity," a workshop
designed to renew and develop creative abilities through the construction
of simple handbound books taught by Edi Klingner. Graduate credit
available upon request. $650 includes tuition, materials, room, and

August 7-8: Cedar City, UT: "Elizabethan Bookbinding" 16th century limp

presented in conjunction with the Utah Shakespearean Festival and
includes the Friday evening performance of "All's Well That Ends Well."
