Re: Ontario Shows?

Stephanie, and others:

Right now, in Toronto, the 15th anniversary juried members' exhibition of
the Canadian Bookbinders and Book Artists Guild is on display at the Canada
Trust Gallery in the Toronto Reference Library. The library is at 789 Yonge
Street, just north of Bloor St. The exhibition is called "The Art of the
Book '98" and is also online at the website below (click on the Exhibitions
button and scroll down the page).

At the same time the Ontario Crafts Council is showing "Ontario Bookworks
'98" at their new premises in Designers Walk, 170 Bedford Road, Suite 300
(Tuesday - Saturday, 12 noon - 5pm), and the Japanese Paper Place, 887
Queen Street West, is showing an exhibition of "Japanese Bookbinding".

There are also places like the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library at the
University of Toronto and the Osborne Collection of Childrens Books, though
I don't know what specific exhibitions are on right now.

Hope this helps,
