Maureen Duke in Melbourne, Aust.

Renowned British bookbinder Maureen Duke will be visiting Melbourne on the
third weekend in August.
 The Victorian Bookbinders Guild is pleased to offer a free lecture on
Friday evening 14th August on the
subject of Early Bindings illustrated with slides.
Workshops are offered on the Saturday and Sunday as set out below.
The workshops will take the form of demonstration and dialogue.
The class size will be limited to 14 people, so that everybody can see
and join in the discussion with Maureen.
 Saturday 15th Leather covering and finishing. Textile binding.
Sunday 16th Onlay. Rebacking with repairs on leather and cloth.
Short descriptions, but given Maureen?s abilities at her craft and
teaching participants can be assured of a wonderful time.
The classes will be held in the State Library .
The workshops are offered on a daily basis at a cost of $50-00-per day.
