I'm also quite a fan of Tyvek for bookbinding. I've used it both in glued
layers in Japanese-style stab binding and have covered bookboard with it.
It accepts acrylic paints wonderfully, including interference colors. The
natural sheen looks great with this!

We carry Tyvek in our shop at $1.25 per yard. The width is approx. 10.5"
and you can get as much as you want, length-wise. This is the
smooth-type, white on both sides.
