When you start getting dates that are far in the past, this usually means your
computer's battery is low and needs to be replaced.  This is the battery that
keeps the time and date information current.  If it's been a few years, you should
check it out.  If this is not the case, then you need to run some diagnostic
software like Norton Utilities because something is corrupting your creation dates
and other system info.
