MCBA lecture change

Due to unforeseeable circumstances, Minnesota Center for Book Arts has
had to reschedule Jim Sherraden's lecture. It was to occur on Friday,
May 7, 7-8:30 PM. It has been rescheduled to Saturday, May 8, 7-8:30 PM.

A Brief History of Hatch Show Print

Jim Sherraden, Curator and Manager of Hatch Show Print will present a
chronological history of one of America's oldest working letterpress
design facilities. Beginning with Hatch's first job in April 1879,
meandering through its contributions of mid- and early 20th century
vaudeville, circus, minstrel and country music posters, Sherraden will
discuss its graphic design impact on southern culture. The lecture will
conclude with examples of Hatch's contemporary work of posters, CD
designs, graphics and advertising agency clients, as well as Sherraden's
