The final in a series of seven publishing workshops, sponsored by The New
York Times with additional support from Publishers Weekly, Publishing Quality
Fiction and Poetry will take place at the Small Press Center on Tuesday,
April 20th from 5.30 to 7.30pm.

The workshop explores the challenges facing quality fiction and poetry
publishers. You/The attendees will get suggestions and advice on acquisition,
sale and marketing of lterary fiction and poetry. Topics will include awards,
reviews, in-store events, right sales, marketing and distribution. This
discussion will be moderated by Michael Coffey, Managing Editor, Publishers
Weekly. Panelists include Julie Schaper, Sales Director, Consortium Book
Sales & Distribution; Chip Fleischer, Publisher, Steerforth Press; Sadi
Ranson, Publisher, The Noctornum Press; and Robert Hershon, Editor and
Publisher, Hanging Loose Press.

Individual workshop: $30.00 (non-members); $20.00 (Small Press Center

THE SMALL PRESS CENTER. At the center of the small press movement since its
founding in 1984, by Whitney North Seymour, Jr., the Small Press Center is
located in a literary landmark building at 20 West 44th Street, in the shadow
of the New Yorker and Algonquin Hotel. For over fourteen years, the Small
Press Center has served as a resource for independent publishers, writers and
other creators, encouraging excellence in publishing. The Center offers
