Garrison and Hast are in the process of translating the entirety of the
founding book of modern anatomy and of modern medical illustration, DE
HUMANI CORPORIS FABRICA by Andreas Vesalius.  In their talk they will
discuss what they hope to accomplish with their translation and the
problems they are encountering.  Their lecture will be preceded by a
reception at which copies of the 1543 and 1555 editions of DE FABRICA will
be exhibited.

Admission is free to Friends of the Rare Book Room, and to members of the
New York Academy of Sciences.  General admission is $10.00.
