Dorothy Westapher obituary

WESTAPHER, DOROTHY JEAN KRALL, born April 12, 1923 in Benton Harbor, Michigan, died on
August 31, 1999 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her
husband of 52 years, The Rev'd. C. V. Westapher; her sons, Geoffrey Mark and Matthew Van.

She was a woman of tremendous creativity, she was known as "Mrs. Bookbinder". Restoring
books and teaching the art for over thirty years, she was both nationally and
internationally known and respected for her bindings.

A Requiem Eucharist was held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 4, 1999 at the Church of
the Incarnation (Protestant Episcopal Church in the USA), 3966 McKinney Avenue, Dallas,
Texas 75204. The Rev. Larry Smith; The Right Rev. James Stanton, Bishop of Dallas; The
Rev. Frederick Philputt; The Rev. Thomas Keithly; and The Rev. Craig Reid officiating. In
lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Church of the Incarnation or to The Bishop's
Fund, 1630 North Garrett Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75206.
