Lecture at Wells College in Aurora NY

 John Dean, Preservation Librarian at Cornell University will be presenting a
lecture at Wells College this Wednesday, the 20th at 8PM in the Art Exhibit
Room in Macmillian Hall. The title of the talk will be "The
Role of Bookbinding in Library Preservation: Ancient Craft to Digital Imaging."

John Dean is one of the fathers of modern preservation programs, established
the apprenticeship program at Johns Hopkins (now defunct) and is currently
director of  the Preservation Department at Cornell where hands on conservation
and digital technology are used to preserve the libraries collections as well
as contributing to the national effort.
