Re: Meet Book Artists Rebecca Morton & Howard Munson

In response to your question about the San Francisco Center for the Book,
and other chapters, or like-minded organizations:

The first book arts organization in the nation was the Center for Book Arts
here in New York, which was established in 1974 and has served as a leader
in the community over the past quarter century.

The Center hgas just moved into a new 5,000 square foot facility in Chelsea,
and operates an active artist membership program, ongoing exhibitions of
contemporary book artists in the on-site gallery, workspace and equipment
rental as well as a full schedule of classes in a range of book arts from
binding to printing to guilding and leather work. Our web address is
http://www.centerforbookarts.org. Come visit!!
