Clasps & Bosses,
a Guide to their Manufacture

Saturday and Sunday, November 6 and 7, 1999
9:30 - 4:30 daily at the Scripps College Press

In this workshop, participants will fabricate brass clasps
suitable for fitting on books with wood boards.

Cost: $150 + $20 for cost of materials
Reservations required: please make reservations by October 25.

You are invited to join Franklin Mowery on November 6
at 6:00 for dinner in Wilbur Hall. Cost $19.50. Reservations required.

The Alphabet is the central feature of this exhibition
that features the bookbindings, calligraphy, illustration, and
letterpress printing of forty participants from seventeen states and Canada.
Thirty-eight books are featured in this juried, traveling exhibition
organized by the Guild of Book Workers.
