holiday sale and open house at The Center for Book Arts

Saturday, December 11th, The Center for Book Arts will be holding its annual
holiday sale and open house from 11am to 5pm.

The open house will feaure demonstrations of letterpress printing and many
bookbinding techniques

Artists will be selling a selection of fine gifts such as handmade books,
albums, journals, decorative boxes, paper and more.

There will also be a raffle held to benefit the Center's programs. Raffle
prizes include free tuition to weekend workshops at the Center, books, art
supplies and more surprises.

If you are interested in making a reservation for a table to sell your own
work at the sale, please call Ilse de Graaff at (212) 481-0295, extension 11
about making a reservation. The rental fee for a small table is $75 and $150
for a large. You may also share tables.

By subway you may take the F train to 23rd street and 6th avenue, or the N/R
to 28th street and Broadway. You may also take the B, D, Q, to 34th street
and 6th avenue, or 1, 2, 3, and 9 trains  to 34th and 7th ave, or the 6
train to 28th and Lexington.

There is lots of parking in the neighborhood, including a closed lot on 6th
avenue between 28th and 29th streets.

There are also always several antique and flea markets in this neighborhood
on weekends-- a great place for treasure hunters.
