                      " THE STORY; TELLING IT MY WAY "

   Book artists are invited to enter this third annual juried competition

sponsored by The New Art Forum, to be held, in March, at the Yankee Barn

              #228 Main Street in Kingston, Massachusetts, U.S.A.

                   DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: FEBRUARY 25, 2000

BOOK EXPLORATIONS 2000 will receive wide-spread press coverage.  An opening
reception will be held on Saturday, March 4  ( 1 - 4 pm ). The 11/2 story
Yankee Barn Gallery will be open to the general public 1 - 4 pm on weekends
through March 19  with special viewing for groups and individuals by
The exhibit includes entries from the U.S.A. and other countries.

Pamela Spitzmueller, the James W. Needham Chief Conservator at the Harvard
University Library Preservation Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts will
juror the exhibit.  Pamela is a well known book artist and active in the
Guild of Bookworkers .  She  has taught innovative book structure at the
Paper and Book Intensive held in different art centers in the U.S.A. each
spring. (Actually, Pamela's achievements in the book arts are too numerous
to list here.)

Cash prizes will be awarded in the following three categories:  Artistic
Creativity; Structure,Imagery and Content; Excellence in the Printed Book.

The New Art Forum is a collective of artists who work together to exhibit a
variety of artworks not only to be enjoyed, but also as part of an ongoing
educational endeavor to place imaginative perspective before the invited
