Do not exaggerate the hazards of melting lead. This was done in
basically all printshops between 1450 and 1950 and with the proper
ventilation there are no risks whatsoever.

Note that the lead never reaches its boiling point (far from it) - i.e.
the point where hazardous fumes begin to leave the lead.
