MA in Design show at UC Berkeley: The Art of the Book


Jenny Semet is having her Master's show, making her public debut as a
letterpress printer and book designer. She will be graduating this May from
UC Berkeley's Department of Visual Studies having specialized in the history
of the book and letterpress printing.

She recently completed her first finely printed book, a 120 page collection
of french maxims in an edition of 150, all colorfully bound in embossed
quarter leather and japanese silk. This work, and some more experimental
books can be viewed in the lobby of Doe Library on the UC Berkeley campus
from May 1-22.

An opening reception is being held on Monday, May 1st from 5-7 PM
