SunflowerHello all,

Everything Art magazine has just published a fascinating meditaion on =
the lasting appeal of Eric Gill's letterforms, and the article is =
written from a hand-compositor's point of view. The article is called =
"The Transparent Page" and is written by noted book designer and poet =
Crispin Elsted of Canada's Barbarian Press. The article can be seen at: =
http://www.artstar.com/magazine/features/issue19/gill1.html.

While many of you will be familiar with the Barbarian Press's books, you =
may not have had the pleasure of reading Crispin's crisp and insightful =
prose - of which this is an especially fine example. Writing of this =
calibre is a treat not to be missed.

The same website also offers for sale an excellent collection of fine =
press books, including titles from the Barbarian press, Gehenna Press, =
Whittington and more. These can be viewed at: =
http://www.artstar.com/bin/book_shop?cat=3D7

Good reading!

Paul Razzell
