Lois Morrison exhibition and workshop

Rutgers University takes pleasure in announcing the opening of an
exhibition of fabric books by the distinguished & highly influential New
Jersey book artist, Lois Morrison. "The Fabric Books of Lois Morrison"
will open at the John Cotton Dana Library, in Newark, NJ, on March 8,
2001. There will be an opening reception on that day at 4:00-6:00 pm, in
the Dana Room. RSVP for reception to lmullins@andromeda.rutgers.edu. As
many of you know, Lois is one of the most distinguished--if not the most
distinguished--fabric book artists in the world, and this exhibition will
include all of the fabric books in her collection. If you live in the
metropolitan area and have an interest in fabric books, you should not
miss this exhibition. Even if you do not have an interest in fabric books,
but have an interest in non-traditional book forms, you should not miss
this exhibition. Should you happen to miss this exhibition, which will
close on May 31, 2001, you should seriously consider your commitment to
artists' books, if not to The Book, and whether you wouldn't really be
happier studying enzymology or fescue grass or some non-book related

Lois will also conduct a workshop on three panel modified carousel books
on Friday, March 23, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Enrollment is limited and
the fee is $40. All interested in participating in the workshop, please
RSVP at 973-353-5222.

Thanks you
