Workshop - Monotype and the Artist's Book - May 4, NYC

Joseph Osina is offering an exciting 3 day workshop at Manhattan Graphics
Center in NYC.  The course description follows:
Friday, May 4, 3:30-9:30 pm
Saturday and Sunday, May 5 & 6, instruction from 10:30 am -4:30 PM; Studio
use from 4:30-6:00 P.M.
$280. (includes 12 hrs. of additional workshop time during the week
following the class

Methods of monotype will be taught in-depth and used in creating an
artist's book.  We will begin by covering traditional and experimental
techniques used to create the unique painterly qualities of monotype, using
both oil-and water-based media.  You will then develop your visual ideas
into an accordion fold book.  Handwritten text can be included as
well.  Techniques geared to each artist's imagery will be stressed.  Open
to beginning as well as more experienced students.  Limited to eight
