I have found cooking paste to be a huge waste of time when I am only using
small amounts. I mostly use PVA in my studio, and only use paste on leather.

My favorite product that I have recently discovered is "Pre-Gel Wheat
Starch" which costs $5 for a pound from Bookmakers. It is a cold water
mixable paste and seems to work just as well as the cooked paste. It's a
wonderful time saver.

Have a good day,
