Artist Book Exhibition in Bristol England

Tale of Two Cities:New York /Bristol an exhibition of artists books =
which opens  next wednesday, May 9 in Bristol England and will travel =
to New York in the fall. Below is the information for the Bristol =

A Tale of Two Cities  BRISTOL-NEW YORK

An exchange exhibition of 40 artists=B9 books by participating =
artists in New York
and Bristol in 2001, accompanied by a publication with essays and =
artists=B9 details.

This exhibition is being jointly curated by Sarah Bodman (Centre
for Fine Print Research, University of the West of England)in Bristol
and Miriam Schaer /Maddy Rosenberg in New York.

Artists involved in the exhibition are:

Each artist will contribute 2 books to the exhibition, and these will
be exhibited at both venues, The Bristol Art Library will also be in
residence at the Bristol  and New York venues.

The project is supported by funding from the Faculty Research
Committee, and the Center for Book Arts New York.
The Center for Book Arts is exhibiting the books for a six week =
from14th September 2001,and will be arranging a series of events =
the exhibition including talks by artists from Bristol and New York.

The Bristol venue is the Off-Centre Gallery, which will host the =
exhibition from

10th May - 10th June 2001

The opening, with the Bristol Art Library in residence will be on
 Weds 9th May 5.30-9pm.
