Sorry, I should have asked which paper you were using. Handmade paper is
indeed considered "grainless" because the fibers are mixed and placed
randomly during the production phase and therefore a mixed grain is the end
result.

Claude..The cover is handmade paper which I always believed was "grainless".
The adhesive idea is interesting. You're right..longevity is not an issue
with these..I see them almost as trinkets.
