WORDS+IMAGES=STORIES

Words+Images=Stories, a innovative multi-arts series exploring narrative
art continues this fall at the Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center, Auburn,
NY.  The series will include workshops for children and adults,
performances and exhibits showcasing artist's books and prints. Workshops
for children and adults will focus on visual arts and creative writing.
Participants will be able to explore techniques for telling their own life
and community stories.

The series culminates with an exhibit in September-October, Central New
York Book Arts: Traditional to Innovative, curated by Peter D. Verheyen.
The exhibit will feature book arts from 23 artists who have strong roots
in, or are practicing  their art, throughout Central New York. Also on
view: An Installation by Anita Welych and Four Printmakers: Jill Doscher,
Leslie Eliet, Charles Heasley and Kumi Korf.

An opening reception for all three exhibitions will be held Sunday,
September 2, 3:00 - 5:00pm at the Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center. For
