Betty, and anyone else who's interested: I'll send you a clean version
off-list. In the meantime, for all those among us who are desperate to
transmute our grief into art, may I suggest Shostakovich's Eighth
String Quartet - recently recorded by the Emerson Quartet, though I
actually prefer the adaptation for strings (Chamber Symphony Op. 110).
