When collaging paper components, you can work dry (thereby reducing the
threat of potential ripples in the book) by applying gel medium to the
backs of the components, letting the medium dry for about 10 minutes, and
then attaching the components to their new homes using a tacking iron and
silicon release paper: Set the object in place, lay silicon release on top,
then apply heat. The medium melts and adheres. Silicon release paper
available from Talas, tacking iron from your neighborhood hobby shop.
Method learnt from Tim Ely, who would probably explain things a hell of a
lot better.
