Are ALL artists starving? Not necessarily! View the work in the First Annual
Edible Book Exhibition and High Tea, where production and consumption meet.
It's your chance to "have your art and eat it too".

Apricot to zucchini, asparagus to zinnia, A-Z Gallery welcomes viewers to
relish an edible book exhibition and high tea on Sunday, April 7, 2002 from
4-6:30. Join artists worldwide through a live Internet link-up to high teas
across the globe.

All works of art shown will be made out of edible materials and have
something to do with books. Materials will include poptarts, seaweed, eggs,
toast, cheese, grains, fruit, candy, vegetables, etc. - encompassing all the
major food groups!

The exhibition is the brainchild of Umbrella Editions and Colophon Journal,
who are sponsoring a web page to accompany the exhibition. Pictures from all
Edible Book High Teas worldwide will be broadcast on the internet at

While the ³virtual² exhibition will occur in cyberspace, the ³actual²
exhibition will be displayed only on April 7, 2002 from 46:30 p.m. at A-Z
Gallery in Lowertown St. Paul. Tea and coffee will, naturally, be served.
Tickets are $5.00.
