Re: [BKARTS] Open Book?

Stone Eye - An Exhibition of the Midwest Chapter, Guild of Book Workers
For information about the exhibition, and to order your catalog, see

Katie - depending on size and quantity you plan for this album, you might
consider tipping the single sheets onto an accordion spine (you know me and
accordions!). The action of the accordion allows the book to open flat, it
adds a decorative (and therefore elegant) element to the book and will accept
any number of finish binding techniques for adding covers. Additionally, if
photos or other material are to be added to the pages, the extra bulk at the
spine will help to compensate for their thickness. This binding does require
some tedium (folding all those accordions), but it might be just the ticket
for you. Barbara Harman
