Book Arts Jam is a one day event (on October 12, 2002)
providing Book Artists and institutions with an
opportunity to show and/or sell limited edition or one-
of-a-kind handmade artists books, zines, letterpress
books and broadsides, mail art, calligraphy, fine art
prints and multiples. Exhibitors may rent a table in
an indoor environment at Foothill College in the heart
of Silicon Valley. The intent is to create a mini-open
studio for each artist to show and sell his or her
work and to educate visitors about the book arts.
Exhibitors will go through a jury process to ensure
diversity of media and the quality of the work. The
deadline for applications is June 30, 2002. Download
an application at http://www.sfbookarts.com or email
bayareabookartists@hotmail.com for more information.
The event is sponsored by Bay Area Book Artists
(http://www.sbawca.org/baba), a sub-group of the South
Bay Chapter of the Women's Caucus for Art.
