GREETING CARD ISSUE
Call for Entries
Entry Deadline July, 22, 2002

We will soon publish an issue of Letter Arts Review featuring calligraphic
greeting cards -- both printed and handmade. Please send us your entries for
possible inclusion in the magazine. There is no entry fee! All greeting
cards are eligible, regardless of the holiday they celebrate or the year
they were created. Entries can be printed cards, slides, or transparencies.
Original handmade cards may be sent, but NO entries will be
returned. Cards must feature calligraphy and/or hand lettering.

Please include your name, address, phone, and e-mail with your entry, and
any pertinent info on its production. We will acknowledge receipt of entries
by e-mail or by a self-addressed, stamped post card that you enclose with
your entry.

Deadline for receipt of entries is July 22, 2002. Entries will not be
returned.

A complimentary copy of the LAR Greeting Card Issue will be sent to everyone
whose work is accepted for publication. The publication date of the Greeting
Card Issue has not yet been set.

Note that the greeting card issue does not replace the yearly Annual. The
Annual Review will be published in the fall of this year.

LETTER ARTS REVIEW UPDATE
     Issue 17.1 has now been mailed to all subscribers. Delivery can take up
to four weeks.  Issue 17.2 -- our first FULL COLOR issue -- is already at
the printers and a sample copy will be available at The Calligraphy
Connection and at the IAMPETH Annual Convention. The issue will be mailed to
subscribers in August. Issue 17.3 is our Annual Issue. Rose is already
working with the designer on issue 17.3.

SUBSCRIPTION INFO
     Letter Arts Review is the international journal serving the
calligraphic and lettering arts community with informative articles,
considered commentary, and outstanding reproductions. Each issue seeks to
inform, inspire and invigorate - whether the work you seek is contemporary,
historical, experimental or traditional, commercial or fine-arts oriented,
legible or non-legible, verbal or non-verbal. Edited by Rose Folsom, it is
published by John Neal, Bookseller.

Payment is in US funds. Check, Money order, MasterCard, Visa, Discover
There is a 10% discount for students, but the class must send in the
subscriptions in a group. We can send a packet of info to your teacher with
