[BKARTS] GBW Seminar 2002



GBW SEMINAR
There are still openings for the 2002 Guild of Book Workers Seminar on
Standards of Excellence in Minneapolis MN September 19-22. University of
Minnesota Special Collections afternoon tour is full. The University of
Minnesota Special Collections morning tour still has a few openings. The St.
John's University Tour had a few openings at last count.

To receive the special Conference rate, hotel reservations must be received
by August 27. The Holiday Inn Metrodome is located just a block from the
University of Minnesota campus, and a few blocks from the Minnesota Center
for Book Arts.

-CINDY HALLER---The History of Western Lettering
-DEBORAH EVETTS---Herrnhuter Paste Papers
-MONIQUE LALLIER---Chemise and Slipcase
-BRIDGET OMALLEY---Papermaking
-OLIVIA PRIMANIS---Album Structures
-DENNIS RUUD---Illumination

SPECIAL EVENTS
-FRIDAY NIGHT FORUM - Poster Sessions, Show and Tell, Discussion and
Mingling. Vendors will be open on Friday night.
-FRIDAY NIGHT PARTY at the Campbell-Logan Bindery
-SATURDAY NIGHT BANQUET speaker will be Carol Marrin, speaking about the St.
John's Bible, followed by:
-GBW AUCTION with auctioneer extraordinaire Bill Drendel.
-SUNDAY MORNING SYMPOSIUM on Teaching in the Book Arts
-OPEN HOUSE at Indulgence Press, studio of Wilber (Chip)Shilling
