Bookbinding -- Working with Leather
This weekly class continues throughout the year and is for the serious
student interested in pursuing the fine details of making a well-crafted
book--it is not product oriented. This year's topic is leather. This term we
will work with soft leather covers such as those used with the long stitch
and limp vellum binding. Students should be familiar with the basics of
making books--grain of paper, folding and sewing sections.
Date: Friday, Sept. 27-Dec. 6, 8 weeks
Time: 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
Cost: $100
