[BKARTS] Ransom Center, Austin, TX

Dear Colleagues,

Just a quick note about the Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas
at Austin. Yes, it is a "must see" for any bibliophile, shutterbug or
cinema fan. However, the building is currently undergoing extensive
renovations. Unfortunately, the Gutenberg Bible and the Niepce photograph
are currently not on exhibit. In fact, the only current exhibit the Ransom
Center has is Ogden Nash : A Good Bad Poet, which is actually being shown
in the Flawn Academic Center on campus (but still worth seeing).

The Ransom Center is still open for research and business (though the
entrance through the construction zone and the constant drone of drills
makes you wonder how we do it). You can find more information here,
including renovation updates and contacts: http://www.hrc.utexas.edu
