[BKARTS] Upcoming Southern Ontario events with the Papertrail

Wayzgoose 2003 - Grimsby, Ontario - Saturday, April 26th, 10am-5pm
The Grimsby Public Art Gallery will be hosting the 25th annual Wayzgoose
festival of the book arts, a fair of private press printers, book artists,
hand papermakers, and related crafts. Among the many exhibitors, the
Papertrail will be there with a sales table and papermaking demonstrations.
Everyone is welcome. Saturday, April 26th, 10am to 5pm, at the Grimsby
Public Art Gallery, 25 Adelaide Street, Grimsby, Ontario (along the QEW
about halfway between Hamilton and Niagara). Call 905-945-3246 for more

Marbling class - Waterloo, Ontario - Saturday, March 29th, 9am-4pm
Let the Papertrail teach you how to make fabulous marbled paper using
acrylic paints. Create stunning swirls of colour and subtle lacy designs
like you find in the endpapers of old books. This class teaches you using
acrylic paints, but other materials are discussed, and the techniques taught
apply to any paint type. Course fee of $65.00 includes GST and all

Hand Papermaking class - Waterloo, Ontario - Saturday, April 5th, 9am-4pm
Learn how to make your own handmade paper! During this all-day class, we
will show you the basics of hand papermaking. Topics covered include
equipment, basic sheetforming, pressing, and drying, along with varieties
and characteristics of pulp, colouring, inclusions and decorative
techniques. Course fee of $76.00 includes GST and all materials.

Both of the above classes will be held at our store, 135 Lexington Court,
Unit 4, in Waterloo.

Coming up this summer: Papermaking from Plants!
Over the July 1st long weekend, we will be holding a 4-day class on making
paper from common plants and weeds rather than using pre-made pulp. This
class includes a field trip to do some collecting.

For all our classes, there are two instructors, so you get the personal
attention you need.
Class sizes are limited to 8, so book your place early!
