[BKARTS] The cultural tragedy in Iraq

For those willing to steel themselves for a heart-breaking read, check out the following two op-ed pieces from the New York Times this morning (Sunday) concerning the lost books, art and cultural treasures of Iraq.  The first is by Alberto Manguel, the author of "A History of Reading," and the second it by Adam Goodheart, a fellow at Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland.
