[BKARTS] Book Arts Program Summer Intensive - Salt Lake City, UT

Greetings book artists. The Book Arts Program is proud to announce its 2003
Summer Intensive, "Developing Your Bookbrain." There are still spaces
available so contact us for more information!

Developing Your Bookbrain
June 17th through June 21st, Tuesday through Saturday,
9:00 to 5:00

At the heart of every artist's book is the merging of concept, content,
materials, and structure. Internationally recognized book artist Julie
Chen shows participants how to develop strategies for transforming ideas
into books. Participants are guided through a series of exercises that
include model building, text writing, and image making. Beginning and
experienced book artists leave with at least one comprehensive model for
an artist's book and many exciting ideas for future projects. Julie Chen
publishes limited-edition artists' books under her Flying Fish Press
imprint. She is a well-known instructor of the book arts and teaches at
the Mills College Book Arts program, among other institutions.
