Cotton v. Cellulose?    Cotton is cellulose. More accurately, at least 90% 
cellulose.  Cellulose is the substance which make up the greater part of the 
cell walls of plants. Some plant cells also have lignin along with the cellulose. 
The greater the proportion of lignin to cellolose, the woodier the plant.
