[BKARTS] Abbey Library Tour on August 2nd

The Northwest Chapter of the Guild of Book Workers
presents

AN AFTERNOON AT THE ABBEY

Come join the Northwest Chapter as we visit the Mt.
Angel Abbey Library in Mt. Angel, Oregon on Saturday,
August 2nd.

The Mt. Angel Abbey Library, designed by noted Finnish
architect, Alvar Aalto, has a remarkable collection of
rare books, incunaubula, fine bindings, and a rare
complete collection of the 'livres d'artistes' by
Pierre Lecuire.

The day will start at 12:00 with an optional short
benedictine service followed by a brown bag lunch on
the lawn. We will tour the library and have a chance
to view the library's collection of the library.

Wrapping up the day will be a informal chapter meeting
with a show and tell, getting giving everyone a chance
to see what's being done by chapter members.

This event is open to all, free to NW chapter members
and $10 to all others. Please come join us to see the
library and it's wonderful collection.

Please contact huota@xxxxxxx for more information and
to register.
