[BKARTS] Marvel Maring, Printer at Vamp & Tramp



Marvel Maring, Printer, who recently earned an MFA in the University of Alabama's Book Arts Program, will speak Wednesday  July 23  from 5:30 to 7 pm at Vamp and Tramp, LLC in Birmingham, Alabama, as part of the continuing Book Arts Series.

Her presentation "Decisions, Decisions: The How, What, and Why of Making My Book" will chronicle the creation of STAIRWAYS, her thesis project, a letterpress edition of the work of Irish poet Gabrielle Kelly. The talk will offer both novice and experienced printer/publishers a taste of the wrenching fearful joy that were part of the process.
