Hello Roberta,
I have always wondered about the Official Names and Origins of all those
structures that can be made from one sheet of any size paper (and there
are so many) but I gave them names and say that they are based in
origami. I call the one shown on the site you cited 'diamond cut' simply
because the cut has a diamond shape(fig. b).
Then there is the T Cut, the Slit Cut, etc. Hey, those names and plastic
knives can really do something for a class of adults....
