[BKARTS] Galen Berry's Marbling Classes

Paper and Fabric Marbling

All you book arts enthusiasts out there...if there's anyone that hasn't heard
of Galen Berry, it's time you did! Come and learn to marble! It's really
fun! Or if you already know how to marble, come to class and maybe Galen will
show you a few steps in marbling to help you.

Galen, is one of the country's best marblers, and one fantastic teacher. He
has just released his schedule of classes for the fall for the west coast.
He teaches a wonderful five-hour workshop (except for Coupeville Arts Center)
on Paper and Fabric Marbling. Marbled paper can be used for origami,
collage, picture framing, bookbinding, covering boxes, rubberstamping, and just
about anything you could think of. Marbled cloth (silk or cotton) can be used to
make ties, scarves, shirts, hairbows, etc.

Coupeville Arts Center (on Whidbey Island) in Coupeville, WA is hosting a
three day workshop, a beginning and intermediate class...They have a wonderful
class room and each student will have their tray to marble in, and on the second
of third day of class, anyone can marble in the large tray (19x25 sheets).

The class is scheduled October, 21, 22 and 23, 2003. Call the Coupeville
Arts Center for information or to register, or go to the webpage online to
register.
